FAQ
Common questions about the platform, tokens, and how everything works.
What is WF token?
WF is the native ERC-20 token for the Wild Forest ecosystem on Ronin. It's used for all wagers on this platform. You can get WF tokens through the Wild Forest game or supported exchanges on Ronin.
Why do I need to deposit 3x my bet?
Your deposit is split into two parts: 1x goes to the actual bet, and 2x is collateral. The collateral ensures you report results honestly. If you report, your collateral is returned in full — it only gets burned if you go AFK.
What happens if my opponent goes AFK?
If your opponent doesn't report within 48 hours, you can submit a victory claim. This claim goes to admin review — you can upload screenshot evidence of the match result to support your case. Once an admin approves, you receive a signed transaction to claim on-chain. Their collateral is burned and you get the full payout.
Where do the fees go?
The 10% fee is split evenly: 5% goes to platform maintenance (servers, development) and 5% is burned permanently by sending it to the dead address (0x...dEaD). The burn creates deflationary pressure on WF supply.
Can I cancel a wager?
Yes, but only before an opponent joins. The creator can cancel at any time before someone joins. Once an opponent joins and the wager activates, it can only end through reporting or AFK claims.
Is the smart contract verified?
Yes. The WagerEscrow contract is verified on Sourcify with a full match. You can view the source code, ABI, and metadata on the Sourcify repository. The contract address is also viewable on the Ronin Explorer.
What wallet do I need?
You need a wallet that supports Ronin network, such as Ronin Wallet or MetaMask configured for Ronin. Your wallet must have enough WF tokens to cover the 3x deposit amount.
How are disputes resolved?
The platform uses a loser-reports system: the losing player reports their loss, the backend signs it, and the contract settles on-chain. If the loser refuses to report (goes AFK), the winner can submit a victory claim after 48 hours. Claims go through admin review — admins examine screenshot evidence uploaded by the players before approving or rejecting. An approved claim gives the winner a signed transaction to settle on-chain, and the AFK player's collateral is burned.
What is the burn address?
The burn address is 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD. Tokens sent here are permanently removed from circulation. No one has the private key to this address, so the tokens can never be recovered.
How do lobby codes work?
When you create a wager, a unique lobby code is generated. Share this code or the invite link with your opponent so they can join the wager. The lobby code identifies your wager on the platform — Wild Forest uses its own separate lobby codes for private matches.
